PUMPKIN PATCH CREAM TORTE

A perfect dessert for a Halloween party, featuring orange gelatin and cookies.

INGREDIENTS

  • 30    Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, finely rolled
  • 1/3  cup   margarine or butter, melted
  • 1  (4-serving size)   package ROYAL Orange Gelatin
  • 1  cup   boiling water
  • 1  (4-serving size)   package ROYAL Instant Vanilla Pudding & Pie Filling
  • 1 1/2  cups   cold milk
  • 2  cups   prepared whipped topping, divided
  •     Green food coloring
  •     Assorted Halloween candies, colored gels and gummy candies

DIRECTIONS

  1. Blend cookie crumbs and margarine or butter; press on bottom and 1 inch up side of 9-inch springform pan. Set aside.
  2. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; refrigerate until thickened. Prepare pudding according to package directions for pie using milk. Gently fold thickened gelatin and 1 cup whipped topping into prepared pudding. Spoon mixture into prepared crust. Refr
  3. igerate 3 to 4 hours.
  4. Tint remaining whipped topping with a few drops green food coloring. Spread evenly over prepared gelatin mixture to within 1-inch of edge. Decorate with assorted candies, colored gels and gummy candies to simulate pumpkin patch scene.
