BLACK BOTTOM BANANA CREAM PIE
A cool, easy way to present the classic combination of chocolate and bananas for dessert.

vanilla wafers, finely crushed (about 1 cup crumbs)
margarine or butter, melted, divided
squares semisweet chocolate
large bananas, sliced
(4-serving size) package ROYAL Instant Vanilla Pudding & Pie Filling
Whipped topping, for garnish
- Mix crumbs, 4 tablespoons melted margarine or butter and sugar in medium bowl. Reserve 2 tablespoons crumb mixture. Press remaining crumb mixture firmly on bottom and side of 9-inch pie plate; set aside.
- Heat chocolate and remaining margarine or butter over low heat, stirring until smooth. Spread evenly over bottom of prepared crust; top with banana slices. Set aside.
- Prepare pudding according to package directions for pie using milk; pour over bananas. Chill at least 1 hour. Serve garnished with whipped topping and reserved crumb mixture.
