FIG TRIFLE

English trifle gets a new twist, with easy instant pudding and fig cookies.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2    (4-serving size) packages ROYAL Instant Vanilla Pudding & Pie Filling
  • 4  cups   cold milk
  • 12    fig cookies, chopped
  • 1  cup   sliced strawberries (other fresh or well-drained canned fruit may be used)
  •     Prepared whipped topping and additional strawberries, for garnish

DIRECTIONS

  1. Prepare pudding according to package directions using milk.
  2. Spoon 1/3 the pudding in 1 1/2-quart serving bowl; top with half the cookie pieces and half the fruit. Repeat layers, ending with remaining pudding.
  3. Cover; refrigerate 2 hours. Garnish with whipped topping and strawberries if desired.
