RIBBON PIE

Layers of sweet cream cheese, chocolate pudding and chocolate topping add up to a delectable chilled dessert.

INGREDIENTS

  • 20    Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, finely crushed
  • 1/4  cup   margarine or butter, melted
  • 1  (8-ounce)   package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4  cup   sugar
  • 1  (4-serving size)   package ROYAL Instant Chocolate Pudding & Pie Filling
  • 1 2/3  cups   cold milk
  • 1/2  cup   chocolate topping
  •     Prepared whipped topping, for garnish

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix crumbs and margarine or butter; press on bottom and side of 9-inch pie plate. Set aside.
  2. Beat cream cheese and sugar in small bowl with mixer at high speed until creamy. Spread mixture over bottom of crust; set aside.
  3. Prepare pudding according to package directions for 1-package pie using milk; spread over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours.
  4. Before serving, spread chocolate topping over pudding; garnish with whipped topping if desired.
