TWO-TONE FRUIT PIE

This colorful pie begins with a tasty graham cracker crust, and finishes with the fresh taste of strawberries and rich sour cream.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2  cups   graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4  cup   sugar
  • 1/3  cup   margarine or butter, melted
  • 2    (4-serving size) packages ROYAL Strawberry Gelatin
  • 1 1/2  cups   boiling water
  • 1  cup   sour cream
  • 3/4  cup   cold water
  •     Prepared whipped topping, strawberry slices and blueberries, for garnish

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar and margarine or butter; press on bottom and side of 9-inch pie plate. Set aside.
  2. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Blend 3/4 cup dissolved gelatin with sour cream; refrigerate for 20 minutes. Spoon into prepared crust; refrigerate.
  3. Stir cold water into remaining dissolved gelatin; refrigerate until thickened, about 20 minutes. Carefully spoon over sour cream layer. Refrigerate until firm, about 4 hours. Serve garnished with whipped topping and fruit.
